Did God Create Sin?

God created Lucifer. But God created him not to sin, but to be blameless in his ways. He gave him the power of choice of personality - free will. Lucifer chose to do wrong and sinned.

No one has the right to blame God merely because someone chooses to do wrong. If God is to make people who are able to love Him and trust Him and choose Him, then that person must have the right to choose - and the freedom to chose.

There would be no "credit" in loving God if no one could help himself, so God wants his people to chose and do right, but no one can and no one should blame God when they chose to do wrong.

God is holy, and cannot create something contradictory to his nature. Therefore, God did not directly create sin. If someone says, "God created Computers," you would say, he may have planted the thoughts in our head, but not did not create the Computer as he created us and the Universe around us.

Meaning, God created Lucifer - then Lucifer was the first to sin because of Free Will Given to him, and he caused Adam and Eve to sin, and that caused the entirety of creation to be effected by the Fall of Man.

So did God create sin? No. He did not. Lucifer sinned (Isaiah 14:12-15, Ezekiel 28:13-15), and in the same way, Adam and Eve sinned, but were not created to sin, they were created perfect, but with a free will. (James 1:13)

This can be related to a parent-child relationship. If a parent creates a condition where disobedience is possible, but the parent remains innocent of breaking the condition, because he did not disobey the condition, then he is not guilty.

In the same way, if a parent tells their child to clean their room and they refuse, then they rebel. The parent is not responsible for the child's sin, because it was not his own. God created a condition where it was POSSIBLE to sin.

But did not create sin itself. That said, sin began with Lucifer - and it will end with Lucifer, as it has spread throughout humanity to every single human being.

So how are people saved from their sin? There is only one possible way, and that is to accept the sacrifice of God's son - JESUS. If you repent of your sins, allow God to forgive you of your sins (and this is to be a daily thing), follow his 10 Commandments and the Commandments of Jesus, spreading his Gospel (Good News) wherever you go, you will be saved.

Romans 10:9, as I say, tells us that if you "Confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that he is risen from the dead, you will be saved." God sentenced us, we cannot pay the fine - so Jesus paid the fine for us. Amen.

So to answer the question, No, God did not create sin. We all sin because of Lucifer, and because we are all guilty of sinning, the ONLY WAY to be saved from condemnation is to turn to Jesus and be saved.

  2. why wasnt God able to prevent the possibility of sin. Does that mean God cant stop sin. And when sin ends doesnt than mean free will would end

  3. God could have prevented the possibility of sin, but if He did, none of us would be here. As far as I am aware, I do not think either of us wish to consider our non-existence. God can stop sin, and will at the end of this age. When sin ends, it does not mean that free will is going to end. Free will existed prior to the Fall of Man when Adam and Eve sinned, as they required a free will to chose to disobey God. If they did not have a free will, they would have been incapable of many things. In the same vein, Satan had free will before he became prideful. Free will is not a result of sin, but by using our free will, sin resulted.
